Gault Family Companies is seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist to join its experienced team to provide our customers with personal and professional service.

Responsibilities

Work with a team of three to contact customers within several business divisions including energy, service and stone.  Communicate and work with customers on credit and collections concerns including payments of outstanding balances, payment arrangements, account holds and closures. Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service and strong phone skills, ability to determine priorities and shift focus throughout the day.

  • Determine credit worthiness for existing energy and stone customers
  • Determine when to put an account on delivery/service/credit hold
  • Generate monthly statements
  • Call or email customers to resolve outstanding balances
  • Call customers to get updated auto-pay information and to get updated credit card information and payments
  • Make determination as to when to terminate a customer due to balance owed or payment habit
  • Recommend when to submit accounts to outside collection agency
  • Fully document all customer conversations, correspondence, changes to files and other pertinent items in a timely manner
  • Miscellaneous duties as required
